 2004; UP COMING PROJECTS:
Director Yuki Saito's new 20 min Film,
"Japan Prime Minister Abduction Case" was shot in Japan in June.  It is now in post production.

Four kids with a code name of characters from a famous cartoon in Japan "Doraemon" (kinda like Scooby Doo) imprison the Prime Minister in an old room of an apartment.  The story takes place in a day portrays well using animation, graphics and film; a non-stop comedy.

YenStar Productions also helped film a Love Comedy 20min Film called "In A Moment"  for the Another Fork & Spoon Productions Directed by Charlie Hichman in July.  The shooting was successful and it is also in the post production stage.  We will update with production photos here so stay tuned.

15 min Short Film "Gapping" will start shooting this September in LA by a first time Director Toshiki Shimbo.  Pre Production in Progress.

A stylish drama, portraying Japanese working in LA in the fashion apparel industry living between reality and their dreams.

2004; Short Short Film Festival 2004 NOMINATION!!
"TRIANGULATION POINT" premiered in Tokyo, Japan where they had the Asia's Biggest Film Festival the Short Short Film Festival 2004 and were nominated for the "Jury's Special Mention Award" and the "Audience Award"!

For this Film Festival, since the Director Yuki Saito is Japanese, they categorized as the "National Competition".  From the Jurys: Doug Campbell (Film Center School of Arts, Tokyo; Principle), Stavros Chassapis (Greek Drama Short Film Fest Executive Chief Committee), and Takahiro Ootsuki (Tollywood Representative, Pole2 West-Nakano Producer);  the "Jury's Special Mention Award" is won as a result of the three Jury's strict examination.

Plus, the "Audience Award" was awarded from the vote of the most popular film from the Spectators.

Judge's general comment: It is with beautiful image and the "COOL" work finished in stylish production. The edit technique was well done using the time-axis.  The Audience was well attracted to the last with the question "How is it going to end??"  In spite of expressing the heavy message, after finishing seeing the end, the movie is full of invigoration with emotion raging to an exquisite sensation.

Director's award speech: It is seven years ago to have had the dream of a Movie and to have left Japan over Hollywood.  It is filled with deep emotion that the initial prize on the first movie was able to be won in Japan which is my mother country.  This is only the beginning.  I continue to run towards the dream from here on.

It is solid that Director Yuki Saito will be introduced in the event "AMERICAN NEW DIRECTORS" in Brazil and Portugal. "TRIANGULATION POINT" is shown this autumn in two cities in Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon.
